What is Halfboard?

Halfboard appears to be two meals, Breakfast which is served in form of an American style buffet from 7.30am to 10.30 am and the evening meal which is also served of an international buffet (excluding drinks) in the Main Restaurant from 7 pm to 10 pm.

However, at Long Beach, you have 4 restaurants as part of your package; they are :

  • Le Marche, no reservation required first come first served|,
  • A la carte restaurants Chopstick, Tides and Sapori, Reservation require for the 3 à la carte Restaurants.

What is Full Board?

Full-board means when you lodge in a hotel and you will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner during your stay (drinks at own cost).

What is All-inclusive?

Three meals, a selection of drinks and entertainment are included in the All Inclusive package. It is not only a lot easier to budget before you go, but when you get there, you can relax and get on with the important bit – enjoying yourself.

What about Mosquito?

We are at the end Winter season and Summer is there together with Mosquitoes and many more unharmful insects, to prepare yourself from Mosquitoes you can use mosquito repellent cream or spray on your body, "citronella” insense stick, devices (coils, citronella diffusers...) are normally provided by the hotel. On the hotel ground twice daily there are mosquito foggings.

Does the Hotel provides Towels in the room and by the pool?

Beach / Pool towels are provided in the room or at the towel cabana.Upon returning the used towels, clean ones will be replaced in your room.

What is the weather like there, and what type of clothing should I bring?

The weather is tropical and usually moderate year-round, typically ranging from the low 16 to upper 38.Winter last only 3 months and starts around mid-May.

So I will suggest you start your holiday in April Summer and resort-type, lightweight clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, casual slacks, blouses, and dresses are appropriate almost everywhere in Mauritius. A cap or hat is useful to protect your face from the sun. The use of sunscreen is recommended for additional UV ray protection.

Mauritius has a micro-climate: it could rain cats and dogs where you are. Only a few kilometres away sun is shining and no cloud in sight. If you wake up in the morning with a grey sky, don’t worry. Go for your shower, have breakfast and after the sky will be blue.

Adaptors – Electricity/Power Supply

The room has a variety of electrical sockets 3 pin british plugs, 2 pin french electrical plugs.... The electricity supply is 220 volts in the bedroom and 110 volts in the bathroom.

Is there parking available for hotel guests?

YES. Parking is available in the hotel’s parking lot.

Does the Hotel caters for Special Dietary Requirements: Vegetarian, Allergies, Halal Food, Kosher Food, Gluten allergies?

Rest assured that we are familiar to treating with guest suffering from different allergies, Gluten Free products, meals, cake... are readily available. As well, should you wish to have specific meals prepared under said guidelines, we will be most accommodating. Our Chefs are ready to meet you personally when you will check-in to discuss same.

Is Wifi provided for free?

Wi-Fi access is available free of charge throughout the resort. Two dedicated terminals with e-mail and internet access are provided.

What is the Dress Code at night?

Dress code is smart casual for the evening in all our restaurants and bars. T-shirts, bermudas, flip flops, sarongs ans sport shoes are not accepted. Men are kindly requested to wear long trousers and shirts with a collar and sleeves.

Is there Doctor or Nurse on property at hotel or on call...?

Our Medical Room is located in the main building. A qualified nurse is in attendance daily from 8.30 am to 10.00 pm. Should you require any medical assistance outside these hours, please phone Reception. A doctor is on call 24 hours a day.

Is the hotel suitable for people with a disability?

The comfort of our guests is of primary importance to us. Two specially adapted rooms are available on the ground floor of the hotel. The rooms contain two queen-size beds designed to comfortably host guests who are physically challenged or need wheelchair access. The dimensions of the bathrooms provide large turning space for a standard wheelchair and are fitted with roll in shower with seat.

Our restaurants and bars are accessible through the lift.

Access to the swimming pool with a ramp is also possible. (family assistance is required)

Are Iron/ iron board provided.

Are Iron/ iron board provided...?
None of our rooms comes with an Iron and its board, however, this is delivered to your room upon request with the Housekeeping team.

Do we have a Golf Course facility?

Long Beach guests have preferential access to the Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course located on Ile aux Cerfs up the coast. The beautiful par-72 championship course is designed by Bernhard Langer.

A free shuttle service is available to and from Ile aux Cerfs (Road transfer by shuttle on reservation; boat transfer - 2-way).

Green Fees are complimentary & golf carts are not compulsory. Long Beach also has its own pitch-and-putt facilities.

Do you offer any babysitting services?

YES we do. Prices for babysitting can be forwarded to you as attachment. Babysitting can be booked 12hrs in advance. If you take Morning and evening service you will get at least 2 babysitters and if one of them is off the second one double shift.

Do we have Coffee machines?

All rooms are equipped with a coffee machine.
